FAIR WORK ACT - HOW WILL THE CHANGES AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS?

The Fair Work Act will change the existing workplace laws as significantly as Work Choices did only a few years ago.


This seminar will focus on important aspects of the new workplace employment laws and how the changes will affect the small business sector. It will provide analysis and commentary on key aspects of the legislation and focus on strategies for avoiding problems like unfair dismissal claims.

PAUL MOOREHOUSE – Barrister, Frederick Jordan Chambers

Paul has been at the Bar since 2003 practicing in the areas of workplace relations and industrial law. He has appeared in both the New South Wales and Australian Industrial Relations Commission and the Federal Court of Australia on behalf of both employees and employers.

 

DAVID NICOLL – Senior Associate, Townsends Business & Corporate Lawyers

David has extensive workplace relations and commercial law experience gained in advising in the SME sector over the past five years. He heads up Townsends Dispute Management Division with a particular focus on employment law disputes.
